Crown Point Accepts Resignation and Appoints New Director to Board

Crown Point Ventures Ltd. (“Crown Point” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: CWV) is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Turnbull as a Director of the Company to fill the vacancy created by the recent resignation of Martin Walter. Mr. Walter has resigned as a director of Crown Point for personal reasons. We would like to thank Mr. Walter for his time and service to Crown Point and wish him well in his future endeavours.
Mr. Keith S. Turnbull, B.Sc; C.A., has agreed to join the Board of Directors and will assume his directorship duties effective immediately as an independent director of Crown Point under the applicable securities rules. Crown Point’s board of directors and management look forward to Mr. Turnbull’s guidance as the Company continues its growth into an intermediate oil and natural gas producer.
Mr. Turnbull retired from KPMG LLP (“KPMG”) in 2009 where he had been a partner for nearly 30 years. Prior to retirement, Keith was a member of the executive management committee of KPMG. His most recent operations responsibilities included being the Office Managing Partner for KPMG’s Calgary office where he was responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the Calgary practice as well as KPMG’s audit, tax and advisory business in Calgary. While serving as a partner, Mr. Turnbull’s clients included a wide variety of public and private companies primarily in the resource and resource service sector. Mr. Turnbull became a securities reviewing partner in 1997 which resulted in him becoming involved in a significant number of emerging energy companies as well as numerous initial public offerings.
Mr. Turnbull is a member of the board of directors and chair of the audit committees of CE Franklin Ltd., a company listed on each of the Toronto Stock Exchange and NASDAQ exchange that supplies products and services to the energy business, and Carbon Management Canada Inc., a not-for-profit corporation focused on innovations in reducing carbon emissions, a director of Angle Energy Inc., an oil and gas exploration and development company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and a former director of UNX Energy Corp., a TSX Venture Exchange and Frankfurt listed oil and gas offshore exploration entity.
